Projects in Second Semester
There are a number of projects running concurrently in second semester.
Main Multimedia Project
This year students were encouraged to work in pairs on the main multimedia project. This project is weighted the same as all other modules. Students are expected to produce an interactive multimedia website or application.
My partner and I are working on designing a responsive website which features a Bird Identifier. The project requires us to produce an accompanying Blog to document the process of designing and coding the site.
In addition to app, we are also required to create an on-line portfolio and branded CV. These are to be used when approaching companies for work experience.
Interactive Interaction Design
This project requires the student to design an app to function as a loyalty rewards scheme for the canteen at L.I.T. The design process for the projects focuses on user needs. The design is at wireframe / concept design currently.In addition to app, we are also required to create an on-line portfolio and branded CV. Emerging Web Technologies
Webiste Design
The project brief was to design a responsive website containing news articles. I chose to create a fictional newspaper website run by woodland creatures, about woodland creatures. This project also required students to have a Blog documenting the project's progress.
SEO Project
This blog is part of he SEO project. Students are required to try and attain the highest ranking for their blog / website when Creative Multimedia programming LIT is searched.
Web Programming
Taking the website which was designed for Emerging Web Technologies, students are required to add functionality to the site using Code Ignitor to connect article databases, search features of the site.
Project Management
Project Management assessment is made up form a series of short assignments and an end of Semester exam.
